Training & Recruitment Coordination Officer
To understudy and assist the assigned Training Officer in organizing and administration of training courses and travel logistics at the CoLD and/or other training establishments and to be responsible for the logistics and administration of recruitment activities as directed by the Global Manning Manager.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide Logistics and communication with Seafarers for training courses.
- Liaison with Training Centre’s on course attendance by Seafarers
- To provide office cover for assigned Training officer during absence.
- Responsible for all administration requirements of the recruitment process.
- Maintain company database utilised for storing all candidate details.
- Collate required documentation for all new candidates including but not limited to;
- Passports
- Visas
- Home Country Licences
- Endorsements (e.g. dangerous cargo endorsements)
- Flag State Licences
- Medicals (industry standard and client specific)
- Training Requirements
- Company Required Forms
- Attend and input to meetings and management reporting as and when required, to meet strict deadlines.
- Assist with Identification of training requirements for individual officers based on client company training matrix and book officers on these courses as required.
- Assist on liaison with client on IPPS updates for seafarers training compliance.
- Advising and assisting manning team as required for seafarer availability.
- Organize travel and accommodation logistics for offices attending training courses.
- Other tasks, administrative duties and ad hoc project related work as directed by the Personnel Manager.
You may be asked from time to time be asked to undertake other tasks that are considered to be relevant to your position.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working within seagoing HR team for a ship management company.
- Shipping HR related legislation; STCW, MLC
- Relationship building/People Person.
- Highly Organised.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Problem Solving.
Desirable
- University Degree, preferably in HR or General Business.
