HR Advisor

The HR Advisor will provide robust and comprehensive HR advice for HR team, managers and employees within the Northern Marine Group of Companies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for managers and employees to support and guide them regarding HR queries, policies and processes, payroll & performance management.
  • Supporting on the delivery of key HR projects - Implementing and monitoring HR initiatives.
  • Working with the HR Officer and HR Business Partners supporting with case management and employee relation queries.
  • Supporting the HR Business Partners in coaching and mentoring line managers where performance concerns have been identified, ensuring robust management of Probation and PIP processes
  • Assistance with the maintenance of the shared HR Admin mailbox.
  • Support with HRIS – ensuring accuracy in the maintenance and updating of data to ensure accurate employee records, reporting and compliance.
  • Support in all administration matters pertaining to the HR function, including but not limited to just confidential employee information.
  • Support in coaching and mentoring the HR Officer and HR Administrator.
  • Liaise with training department regarding staff training (shore)
  • Maintain training records for all Business Units; updating in line with defined matrix
  • Supporting international HR projects as and when required; recommending process improvements
  • Business Unit support as and when required.
  • You may be asked from time to time be asked to undertake other tasks that are considered to be relevant to your position

 Candidate Requirements

  • CIPD qualified (or part)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR (best) practice and solid HR generalist experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment legislation (current and future)
  • Ability to lead on ER matters and strong case management experience
  • Ability to adapt and react within fast pace environment
  • Track record of project delivery, to tight deadlines
  • Experience of working with, and delivering under, a wellbeing strategy
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence at all levels
  • HRIS experience
  • Ability to coach and train where required

Desirable

  • Line management experience
  • Successful resolution of grievances / mediation experience
  • Commercial orientation
