Marine and Offshore supplies companies awarded

28th Aug 2018

Northern Marine Group’s marine supply, offshore catering and ship agency service subsidiaries have further improved management standards, attaining the latest international management systems certifications for quality, health and safety and environment.

Following a year-long project, all Singapore and Shanghai businesses are now certified to three international standards; ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007.

In addition, ISO 22000 food safety management certification has been achieved for food related operations.

The ISO and OHSAS certifications help ensure regulated quality, health and safety or environmental standards are met and in turn increases consumer confidence and trust in services.

Lawrence Teo, HSE and Facilities Manager, managed the project from the Singapore office.

Lawrence said: “The management wanted to achieve consistent excellence in our processes and management systems, giving value in everything we do for our customers and stakeholders.

“Achieving these international management system certifications help the respective companies accomplish these goals and will also assist us in optimising and streamlining our operations and processes.”

The new certifications cover Francois Marine and Offshore, Austen Maritime Services, Tang Li Marine and Offshore and respective branch offices.

Dominic Fernandez, CEO, Stena Marine Singapore Ltd, heads up NMG business in Singapore.

Dominic added: “It was a rewarding journey and we are proud to attain all three international standards as it puts in place efficient management systems to the benefit of the companies, our employees and our customers.”
